Pottery Syrup Jug w/ Pewter Lid

ITEM: Wonderful English Staffordshire Grimwades Bros. Stone on Trent syrup jug with pewter lid and a lovely yellow roses floral decoration.

SIZE: The jar stands approximately 8 1/4\" tall to top of thump press on lid, 6 1/4\" wide from handle to spout and 4 1/2\" in diameter at the base.

MARK:The mark is the Grimwades mark of the late 1800\'s being a circle with \"STOKE ON TRENT STAFFORDSHIRE\" around the edge, the \"G BROS\" with in a 6 point star and \"TRADE MARK\" as a horizontal banner. Below is \"ENGLAND\" and the number \"7\".

CONDITION: Outstanding condition with the floral design being very bright! Please note the angle of the handle is slightly askew when you are looking from the handle side. This is not noticeable when the decorative side of the jug is facing out. This is a hand made antique and as such will not be perfect.There is minor wear to the gold decoration which is consistent with the age of the item.
