This is an early carte de visite or CDV photograph of a little girl in a dress which makes her resemble the early primitive paintings of children. It is sepia and there is a name in pencil on the back which I think says "Mrs. A. B. Thomas." It may be the name of the mother who had the photo or it may be her name once she was grown. At any rate it is a darling image and in very nice condition.
