A nice collection of 19 photographs of British and European royalty, including a fine Queen Victoria and Albert presentation, various clipped crests and the signature of the Princess Royal of Prussia, from an Anglo-Irish album, c1860s-70s.
Details and condition:A total of 19 original albumen photographs, mainly mounted on card in CDV style, and laid down to clipped album paper, a mixture of printed or fine pen & ink captions beneath the images, several with clipped crests pasted above. Versos of mounts blank. In nice condition. Tones mainly very good, some with excellent, and others with some fading/age-toning.
Size:mainly CDV-sized photographs, and one larger photograph of the Princess of Wales with her children.
Provenance: From the Anglo-Irish photograph album of Elizabeth Alexander Shaw, daughter of William John Alexander-Shaw.
