c.1930 Martinez Benicia Auto Ferry Timetable Card California Bay Area Vintage VG:

This is a vintage original c.1930 timetable card for the Martinez – Benicia Auto Ferry which operated on the Carquinez Strait just west of Suisun Bay in the Bay area of California.  This card measures about 4-3/8” x 2-1/4” and is printed on one side with the Martinez-Benicia Auto Ferry timetable and on the other side table of milage distances from Martinez and Benicia to other cities and towns in California and Nevada.   

This timetable card isn’t dated but lists phone numbers and “Benicia 79” and “Martinez 50” and lists the President of the company of Charles G. Clyne who held that position as early as 1919.  I’d date it probably c.1930 or so.   The Martinez-Benicia Auto Ferry was the last auto ferry operating in the Bay Area when it ceased operation in 1962 with the opening of the Benicia-Martinez Bridge.
