Up for sale is this exquisite antique c1920s metal guilded and hand decorated arts and crafts / ash can period frame. The frame features a beautiful hand decorated stenciled design. This is a hard to find pattern. The stencil decoration give this frame a very elegant yet bold presence perfect for many different styles of paintings or would make a beautiful frame for a mirror. The frame has pencil mark Newcomb Macklin model numbers on reverse and has the signature corner splines that Newcomb Macklin is known for.
Condition: Very sturdy. The frame in overall good condition. Having age appropriate gilt wear with expected nicks and dings.
Measurements: Frame - 46 1/2” x 40 1/2” Rabbet - 36 1/2” x 30 1/4” Molding width - 5 1/2” wide
