Pair of (2) Albumen Photos c.1900s

"OTC" Pennant and American Flag

6" x 8" Photos

Both photos are from the same estate. They are of identical size, and mounted on identical cards. So, I believe the two scenes are related.

What's happening here ... seems to be a mystery. Feel free to message me if you know!

There is an America Flag as well as an "O.T.C." pennant -- which may be an early version of the U.S. "NROTC" (Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps), or else it may be the British "OTC" (Officers' Training Corps). I favor the latter, since NROTC was not in full swing until the 1920s -- which would be quite late for an albumen photograph.

CONDITION: As pictured: typical chipping on the card backings. Also some dampstain at the corners of the cards, but not affecting the images. The first photo has a small stain at the upper-left edge.

The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?) It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.
