Vintage Wooden Crate - SS Pierce Folding Box - SS Pierce Shipping Crate - Vintage Wood Crate - Folding Wooden Box - Vintage Crate

This is a great old wooden crate for shipping box from the SS Pierce Company out of Boston Massachusetts. This great old crate folds up flat. The writing on the sides pops against the light color of the wood. The crate has reinforced metal banding around the corners. The bottom of the crate folds in and the box collapses to store it away flat. The metal hinged corners are rusted and the box is tight when it folds and unfolds. Over time the hinges will break so I would avoid opening and closing or folding the box too many times. The box is 17\" by 14\" and 12\" tall. SS Pierce was in business in the 1800\'s to 1900\'s so unable to give exact date made.
