As you can see from the pics, the original blue paint is in good shape with only minor wear, and the cabinet is near perfect with a small repaired crack on the bottom. The radio is actually a four-tube super-het with a re-gen circuit for greater sensitivity at the top end, with a 5th ballast-tube serving only to choke the AC voltage down to usable levels. These mechanical push-button radios were apparently produced in a variety of school colors for that deserving student!
