antique Weidlich Bros bookends, Abraham Lincoln, silver-plated, circa 1920s:

• Offered here is a very attractive pair of highly collectible silver-plated bookends for the Abraham Lincoln collector.. They were produced by Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Company. The pair weigh 4 lbs 12 oz.  Take a good look at the photos. Both pieces are marked Lincoln 1809 1865 (birth and death) on the front side.  On the backside is the WB shop mark and the number 641. Also marked copyright USA.  The green is a reflection of the table surface.  They are completely silver in color.

• Over the years I have seen a couple sets in brown/bronze finish but these are the only silver-plated ones I have seen.  Weidlich did a lot of work in silver.
• Construction is silver plating over gray metal.  The bookends are surprisingly heavy
• Take a good look at the photos.
• Replacement black felts.
• This attractive pair of bookends are 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide
