Lovely, stately, and highly collectible, this is a (1) bronze-plated cast-metal bookend described as \"rare\" by specialized reference books such as\"Collectors Encyclopedia of Bookends\" by Louis Kuritzky & Charles DeCosta (published 2005, p.109).

It measures approximately 5\"W x 5.75\"H x 4\"D and weighs a hefty 3lb 1.5oz.

The bronze finish has some patina and the bottom cover shows extensive oxidation - this also noticed in other W.B. bookends of this age.

Signed with the W.B. mark on the bottom and number 648.
