This is a brand new in original box set. Never used nor unwrapped except for the 2 pieces to photograph. The original box has aged and is not perfect but still intact and no tears. Light inspection as to not effect the newness, all looks great / no damage on any pieces and gold trim is still shiny and beautiful as well as the iridescent surface and maroon accent color on each cup and saucer.
