Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Victorian Period Accessories. Large Antique Victorian Walnut Twig and branch coved Picture Frame. Dates somewhere in the 1860-1880s period at Circa 1870. Solid walnut with gold gilded liner. Selling as pictured with NO glass and NO backboard (frame only). Over 130 years old. Large size measuring about 30 1/4\" x 21 1/4\" overall at extremes. Original finish. Nice original patina. The outer edge of frame has a twig and branch carved pattern. Inside that is a ribbed coved detail, followed by the gold liner. Good condition for age. Finish looks a little dry and could use a waxing. You may notice minor scuffs and dings from normal age and use. Liner gold gilding has dulled from age. What I feel are the very minor condition issues listed only add charm and character to this 130+ year old frame. Large size measures about 30 1/4\" by about 21 1/4\" and 2\" deep overall at extremes. Will hold a 24 1/2\" by 15\" picture ( inner rabbet 24 1/2\" x 15\"). Guaranteed 19th Century. Hard to find large beautiful Victorian frames that are this beautiful.
