Offeringa scarce ‘X-Teddy’ wood 50 count cigar box, c. 1920\'s. Box was made shortly afterTR\'s death in 1919 and seems to imply the Polar is replacing the teddy bear. Featuresan interior choice label on hinged lid of a polar bear and small vignettes thatinclude ship, ice, igloos and Eskimos. The Exterior lid also has the original paper50 Cigars label, a stamped polar bear with matching impressed images on sides,front panel has impressed X-Teddy as well as a tax class rectangle with priceof five cents making it post 1919. Made of all wood with interlocking cornersand inside collar made by William C. Smith of Windsor, PA. Base marked 1STDISTRIBUTION OF PA FAC NO 931

Measures7 ¼” long x 6 ⅜” wide x 3 ¼” high

Inoverall Excellent antique condition, some minor wear to the interior label, littlewear or marks to the box
