From the "wow" department comes this super-nice Wulfenite thumbnail, sourced from the world-class Red Cloud Mine in Yuma County, AZ. These are becoming increasingly difficult to acquire, and many available on the market are "Meh". This one immediately caught my eye as I was sorting through a forty-year old collection. It is unquestionably of superior quality, as I can attest from the target-rich photo environment afforded me while scoping its high-magnification details with my 4.5X macro lens. It presents that transparent, tabular "windowpane" habit for which the Red Cloud specimens are so treasured, with sublime beveled,sharply edges crystals, adamantine lusterand delicate cryptocrystalline encrustations. As the photos show, there may be a few bird nicks here and there, but by and large they are not discernable unless you are looking for them under glass. This is one of the better pieces I have come across in recent years. 18 x 15 x 14 mm. REF: MF-11-18
