This is a very primitive antique all hand stitched and hand beaded Native American doll. The leather clothing is too stiff to examine the body closely but it looks like the body is unbleached muslin with possible exception of the legs -which may be all leather. By the feel of it, I think it is stuffed with straw or something similar but once again, I can't move the leather clothing enough to examine much of the body. All the seams have been all hand stitched and the facial features are just simple embroidery in old black thread. The beading is tiny blue and red glass. It is missing any sort of hair and there is a lot of wear to the suede leather but still a neat old doll. It measures 10 1/2" long.
