This is a low grade item. It will be complete and readable, but will show significant wear. Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects.

Description

Stories and art by Dave Berg, Otto Binder, Clem Weisbecker, and Phil Bard. A Fawcett anthology with an emphasis on superhero adventure. Mr. Scarlet and Pinky seek the killer of a circus owner and meet The Mask, a strange killer who can apparently be in two places at once. Phantom Eagle tries to prevent Trantee from carrying out an air base attack in Asia. The Black Sphinx tries to frame DA Brian Butler for a jewel robbery, but he doesn't know that Butler is crimefighter Mr. Scarlet. Plus an early story by future Mad "Lighter Side" artist Dave Berg.
