Wow!! Up for sale is an incredible Antique Early 1900s ~“Collins & Co Hartford Conn.”~ trade sign. This amazing piece is in the shape of an axe head, made from three pieces of carved wood and features outstanding Smalts paint with Divine GOLD LEAF advertising Lettering.

A bit of background, Collins and Co. was the largest Axe manufacturer In north and South America, with strong ties to South America and in Hartford Connecticut which at that time had a large population of Spanish speaking residents, you will see this sign is bilingual with Spanish and English Advertising.

Another Note to add to its greatness this piece came from the family who’s relatives originally worked for the company in the early 1900s. WOW!!!

Condition is excellent for its age, one side shows more wear than the other, with light paint loss and light fading of the graphics. Please see detailed pictures provided for a closer look at condition.
