This gorgeous antique compact/dance purse with wristlet, tassel, and lipstick is in remarkable condition for its age with no repairs, dings, dents, or cracks. The hinge is in working order, it opens and closes properly, the mirror is reflective (just a teeny tiny dark spot). The compact itself measures 3 1/4\" tall 2 3/4\" wide and with silk tassel and wristlet 13 1/2\" long. Original puff. I have not tested this as bakelite but it is either bakelite or early plastic composition. The carved red flowers and green leaves are stunning against the brown hues of the case and tassels. The brass lipstick is missing its cover but I believe this is replaceable. Just a marvelous and rare collectible compact. I can not find a makers mark but it is likely American made.
