Wolfenstein is a series of World War II video games focusing on an American prisoner of war named, William \"B.J.\" Blazkowicz, a Jewish Polish-American Army Captain who was imprisoned in the German stronghold of Castle Wolfenstein. He escapes and fights against the Axis powers, especially the Nazis. The Wolfenstein video games are widely regarded to have helped popularize the first-person shooter genre.

Now Titan Comics presents a new comic story based on the world of the best-selling Wolfenstein videogames. March right into the fascist-occupied USA of 1960 in this stunning prequel story to Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the video game from Bethesda, which continues the Nazi hunting adventures of video game fan-favorite B.J. Blazkowicz in an alternate universe of Wolfenstein, a world where the fascist regime won the war thanks to super-advanced killing machines and vicious robot dogs.

Story/Spoilers:

Its 1960, the Nazis won the war, and a small band of outsiders fight to survive in occupied America. But the relative peace of their sanctuary is shattered by the arrival of Nazis on the hunt for some top-secret quarry. But they\'re not the only new faces. A strange old lady has a tale to tell of the legendary Nazi hunter - B.J \"Terror Billy\" Blazkowicz. B.J. Blazkowicz returns to take on the Nazis in this new comic story. Can Blazko stop the march of goose-stepping boots? or will the sinister Hans Hartmann get his way?

In issue #1A, On an alternate world where the Nazis won the war, B.J. now leads a resistance movement against them, made harder by the Regime’s (as the Nazis are now called) access to hugely powerful technology. Beginning in Sanctuary, a haven of sorts for people who don’t want to live under the boot of the Regime. Sanctuary is illegal but the Regime are unaware of it, even while they start drilling on its land supposedly for oil but in reality for something more important. After a mini revolt, The Professor, leader of Sanctuary descends into the hole to check it out... Meanwhile, a German called Hartmann and his discovery of an ancient city created by the Thule. The ancient buildings are salvaged and rebuilt into Castle Wolfenstein, to be the site of the new Science Division and home to Hartmann. Hartmann has had the foresight to realise technology alone won’t lead to total victory for the Regime, nor will ‘blood and mysticism’, but combining the two will. He intends to clone the ancient Thulian race, but in reality doesn’t understand the forces he is meddling with, as a very Lovecraftian dream reminds him. An undercover agent, Dr Emilie Wagner, seeing all this first hand, gets the word out…. All of which leads to the long awaited arrival at last of B.J. himself, as he reads Dr Wagner’s letter. Time to blow up some fascists. B.J. and his resistance cell drive across the country to reach the new Castle Wolfenstein, and do indeed blow up some fascists. Plus a little shooting and stabbing too, for variety you understand. Checkpoints suitably destroyed, it’s time to reach the castle.

Finally in issue #2A,Wolfenstein takes place in an alternate world where the Nazis won the war. B.J. leads the resistance against The Regime, as the Nazis are now called, but a resistance that is scattered widely. Last issue we dropped in on Sanctuary, the last safe place, where its leader The Professor went literally underground to see what The Regime were trying to dig up. The second story actually gave us the origin of Castle Wolfenstein, built from material from the ancient buildings of the mystical and magical Thule, and run by Hartmann, obsessed with cloning the long dead Thulian race…. Now, we return back to The Professor, being led by Emilie deeper and deeper underground until they come to an excavation point and some very weird, almost living oil. The Regime are trying to harness Hartmann’s writings again, and Emilie thinks back again to the old days when she was an undercover spy in the castle and Terror Billy, as B.J. was called, was on his way to blow it up. Emilie had almost given up hope as Hartmann became more and more unbalanced as he attempted to recreate the Thulians, not knowing B.J. was working with locals to infiltrate the castle via the tunnels underneath. Pretty much all hell broke loose as Hartmann finally lost it and combined himself with the Thulian DNA…tentacles coming out of mouths and that sort of thing. Emilie fought for her life, but was losing. Pretty good time for a castle to blow up then, right? B.J. and the locals had planted and detonated the explosives and Castle Wolfenstein went over the cliff. Just as Hartmann was about to finish off Emilie, B.J. appeared as if from the dead and snapped his neck. Thulian mysticism clearly can’t cope with old school neck snapping. That was the end of Hartmann and his work… until now of course.
