This listing is for a striking collector plate byWilhelm Buehlerentitled \"Long-eared Owl\" which ispart of\"The Wild Birds of the World\", a collection of 12 Limoges porcelain plates crafted by the House of Haviland, hand-decorated with borders of 24 karat gold and bearing original works of art by Wilhelm Buehler under the auspices of the International Council for Bird Preservation. This limited edition plate is in excellent condition, has a diameter of9-inches and comes with the original Certificate of Authenticity and protector case.

The official plate description says in part: The Long-eared Owl, like other owls, flies almost silently with soft, fluttering wingbeats. It hunts mostly in the evening, or morning twilight. During the winter, sleeping groups, which may consist of 20 or more owls, can be found in parks, cemeteries or small woods. These owl assemblies can often be observed for several weeks.

As you can see in the photo, the colors are vibrant, and the attention to detail is nicely done making this a great gift choice or a nice addition to a collection.
