West German World War II 1957 Knights Cross to the War Merit Cross with Swords Award.
Measures 2” wide by 2 1/4\" tall.The front of the Maltese cross shows the date ‘1939’ in the center.The reverse side is blank in the center.Has a pair of crossed swords in the background.There is an oval suspension loop at the top for securing the ribbon around the neck.The presentation machine embroidered cloth woven cotton ribbon measures 10 1/2\" wide by 1 3/4\" tall.Nicely toned. Two-piece die struck nickel construction.This neck order was awarded for gallantry in combat action above and beyond the call of duty.Excellent condition.
