This rare Wedgwood small tureen in teal transferware from the 1850s is a true antique gem. Its exquisite design features a whimsical bird and wild rose pattern that will enchant collectors and admirers alike. Made of glazed ironstone, this tureen comes with a lid and is in its original form, making it a must-have for any serious collector of vintage dinnerware. The tureen's exact pattern is unknown, as there are very few like it that have survived this long and even less on the open market, however this only adds to its rarity and charm. This original piece was manufactured in the United Kingdom during the 1850-1899. It is in generally good condition with no crazing or cracks, however it does have a chip on the bottom, but is invisible unless it flipped over and examined closely. And a rough patch on the indentation where the spoon would sit. The price does reflect these issues.
