From my personal collection, hard to find 7 1/4\" tall Waterford Metropolitan Mantel Clock purchased new, ca. early 1990\'s.
The Art Deco designed clock measures 7 1/4\" tall ( most are 6\" -6 1/2\" ), 5 3/8\" at widest area, and 1 1/2\" in depth. There are \"geometrical steps\" along each side of the otherwise smooth surface.
The bottom visibly shows the acid watermark of Waterford along with their signature seahorse trademark; plus the country of origin - Germany.
I can see - upon very close inspection - two slight surface scratches ( not deep ) on the base : one about 3/8\" long ; one about 1/2\" long. Please see photo. ( my bad . . . did not use felt pads. )
The mantel / desk / table clock is solid & quite heavy . . . weighs approximately 4 1/2lbs. unpacked.
Uses a clock battery, which when purchased, a new battery will be installed.
Overall, very good + + vintage condition. I did have a difficult time photographing the piece, however, my description is as accurate & honest as I could do.
