This is a lot of eight softcover graphic novels by comics storytelling master Warren Ellis. They are mostly from Avatar Press (one is published by Image) and showcase Ellis at his most wild and unrestrained. The genre for most of them is dark science fiction, mixed with Ellis\' unique brand of satire. The books are:
Ignition City (Avatar) - art byGianluca Pagliarani. Science-fiction tale with retro elements about a space pilot seeking revenge for her father\'s death.
Doktor Sleepless (Avatar) - art byIvan Rodriguez. Dark dystopian science-fiction about a cult leader/mad scientist.
Crecy (Avatar) - art byRaulo Caceres. Historical fiction concerning a battle between the French and English armies in the 14th century.
Asmospherics (Avatar) - art by Ken Meyer Jr. Police procedural mixed with dark sci-fi.
Captain Swing and the Electrical Pirates of Cindery Island (Avatar) - art byRaulo Caceres. Fun steampunk narrative set in an alternate 19th century London.
Dark Blue (Avatar) - art by Jacen Burrows. Surreal and disturbing alternate reality sci-fi tale - sort of Ellis\' version of the Matrix.
Frankensetin\'s Womb (Avatar) - art byMarek Oleksicki. Historical fiction mixed with sci-fi retelling of how Mary Shelley was inspired to write Frankenstein.
Cemetery Beach (Image) - art by Jason Howard. Sci-fi and action/adventure tale about espacing from a hostile alien world.
