This is a glass mounted 35 mm color film slide that was shot by my father while he was serving with the Army Air Corps in Europe during WWII. (One slide.)
I have about 20 slides all taken by my father some time between November 1944 and early 1945 - mostly in northern France. I\'m posting each in separate listings. I hope to list them all this week. I\'ll be glad to combine shipping if you purchase more than one slide.
This slide shows an American soldier and a jeep near a bomb damaged house.
My father was a reconnaissance photographer with the army air corps during WWII - serving from 1941 to through 1945. The 35 mm slides that I\'m listing were shot with his Leica - probably for his personal use.
The film (from one or two rolls) was probably processed some time in 1945. (I don\'t know if it would have been processed in Europe, or in the US after my father returned to the states after being demobilized in 1945.) The film is in excellent condition. (It has been mounted in glass since it was developed.) NOTE: On some of the slides the paper on the mounting is torn.Some of the films are mounted off center. You can see the film\'s sprocket holes. Some do seem to have specks of dust inside the mounts. Please see the photos.
