WWI Collins & Co. Bolo Machete w/Scabbard - No. 1005:

Pre-WWI Collins & Co. Bolo Machete with Leather Scabbard. The blade is faintly marked "No. 1005", next to "Collins & Co" over "Hartford". The wood grips have four brass rivets (typical of early made pieces) and they have a few small nicks/chips/scratches. The blade is straight, tight, has been sharpened, and has some nicks. The tooled leather scabbard is unmarked (also typical of early made pieces) has a brass throat and drag, light surface loss, some staining, the seam stitching is tight, and the belt loop is complete but very dry/crackled. Length of the blade measures 15" (1 3/8" wide at the ricasso x 1/4" thick), the machete is 20 1/8", and in the scabbard it is 22 3/16".
