WWI CHILEAN KNIFE BAYONET & SCABBARD FOR M1912 MAUSER, M1935 CARBINE.This listing is forwhat I believe is aWWI Chilean knife bayonet that comes with its original scabbard. This knife bayonet is for use on the 7mm M1912 Mauser (produced for Chile by the Austrian firm Oesterreichsche Waffenfabrik-Gesellschaft of Steyr. It also mounts to the Chilean M1935 carbine. The steel cross guard is unmarked, pommel has working push button, and the grip is wood with 2 rivets.The steel, single edge,blade is marked on one side CSZ 1, and on the opposite side unmarked, the unnderside of thetang on the handle is stamped " CSZ L3( standing Lion)38". and the end of thepommel is stamped "E7074"The blade measures approx. 111/2" and overall length with handle is 17". Included is the steel scabbardmarked "CSZ L3( standing Lion)38" and on edge of frog clip isstamped "2421", with ball finial tip (ding near tip--see photos), alone it measures approx. 12-1/8" and with knife bayonet in place, the overall length is approx. 17 1/2".Everything is in as found condition, not cleaned, blade has a couple of very small dings to blade and tip is burred When item ispacked SECURELYfor shipping, it weighs2pounds.
