A very unique collection of WW2/Cold War (1941-1960) air raid items. Including a helmet which still has its original webbing and is wearable, a San Francisco Air Raid Warden armband, and several instructional signs about what to do in an air raid.(The brass grommets in the armband are replacements, the original steel ones were rusted, cracked, or missing.)
The helmet, arm band, and the long pamphlet on the right are from San Francisco. The dark blue sign showing the siren sounds is from New Jersey, and the orange one is from Con Edison New York.The NY one has a few tears along its top and bottom and the NJ one has some sort of stains but both are still clear and legible. (see photos)When I ship these I will be packaging the signs flat and well protected.(about $7) And the helmet and armband separately.(about $13)
