Up for sale is a WW2 45th I.D. Fixed Bale M1 Steel Helmet.

The single sided 45th Infinity Division stencil was hand done by me a few years ago and carefully "aged".

Most of the paint on this helmet is original minus the stencil (and a small amount of OD paint to help age it) plus a rust spot was painted over. If I had to guess I would say about 65-75% of the paint on the helmet is original.

(Note added on 04/23/24) I forgot to note this helmet does have a crack on the right side of the helmet (if you were looking straight on at it) and I will try and get a better picture to see as the first picture you can barely see it and the only other pic you can see the crack is 7th/final pic near my thumb.

It does also have one original early war chin strap (can easily tell which one in the photos) and the other side is an ATF repro.

The helmet is a McCord marked 257C (yes I accidentally made my C look like a 6 on the sticky note) which would put this helmet around September of 1942.

This helmet is a fixed bale and the spot welds appear to be holding quite nicely and do not move/wobble.
