First, I am not an expert in war equipment. Internet research leads me to believe these are WWI aviator goggles. (Google: \"Extremely Rare and Iconic WWI German Pilot Goggles in the Curved Rectangular Pattern ca 1917 / 1918\") I\'ve also seen very similar goggles in a few vintage German photographs atop pilot\'s heads.These are metal, glass, and elastic. The elastic is splitting in parts and the metal shows some corrosion. They could use some attention and would make an amazing display piece in a museum or similar.
I hope someone more knowledgeable than I can put these to good use.
