WOW~c1914 Antique BOW TIE SNOWBALL Handmade Quilt~Lush Hand Quilting 76x70:

Charming handmade antique quilt. BOW TIE or some call a SNOWBALL pattern. Nicely and neatly made. Lush hand quilting! Loads of period fabrics~array of cottons, shirtings, dress goods and a cotton flannel or two. None are bulky or heavy!

Has a hand written note sewn to a corner. \"Necktie quilt I made before my Mother passed away in 1914. E. Y. M.\". Mother is Mary Elizabeth Montgomery Younker. born 1853-1914. The quilt was made by Ethel Younker Miller. born 1888-1970.

Measures 76 x 70Unbleached cotton sheeting used on the front and backing. Hand pieced and hand quilted. 8spi. Thinner batting so it displays beautifully! I have not cleaned or treated this quilt. Needs a soaking~it\'s a little dingy/yellowed from age and storage. It is in very good condition. The only fault is that one bow tie has fabric worn away (see last photo). A few of the looser weave fabrics are looking a little frayed or have loose threads~nothing major (see photos). Quilt has a few minor storage/age spots. Fabrics are sturdy and strong. No odors. All this sounds worse than it is!
