Vtg Tonga MCM Wood Tiki God Hand-Carved 9½\" Figure Polynesian Wooden Totem Retro:

Today I am offering this fabulous vintage carved wooden Polynesian tiki God, I believe is a mid-century modern era souvenir from the islands of Tonga.

It represents an ancient culture and their spiritual beliefs. I don\'t know what kind of wood it is but the color is variegated and mostly darker in the back and more golden in front.

This handsome fellow has a grinning or menacing face, I\'m not sure which. He has a cool curve or wave shape.

The TONGA name is incised in the front base.

It measures 9½\" tall, approximately 1½\" front to back, and about 1⅝\" wide from side to side. He\'s difficult to measure accurately due to the curve.

He\'s in great vintage pre-owned condition with no damage. There are, of course, small natural imperfections in the wood, as that is the nature of the material.

This will be a perfect addition to your 1950s-60s Tiki bar or Hawaiian/South Pacific themed decor.
