Vintage pewter plate is about 10.75\" in diameter and has a ceramic center depicting a scene from American history.

The center of the plate is a reproduction of the famous painting \"Surrender of Lord Cornwallis\" by John Trumbull, on a 6\" ceramic.

On the back of the plate is the hallmark of the manufacturer, a vintage cannon, with the words, Canton, Ohio, 1973, underneath it. There is also a tree impressed in the metal (the classic 18th century tree of liberty), the number 3371450 as well as 4 sets of initials: \"JSR\", \"PVK\", “SBB”, and \"GIF\" representing those who did part of the creation process for the plate.
