ThisvintageMASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858 (Red Book #1787) blue quart fruit/canning jar with a Boyd zinc cap is in good condition. One side of the jar is boldly embossed withMASONS PATENT NOV30TH 1858. The number23and a triangle are embossed on the base.Including the zinc cap, the jar isapproximately7 1/8\" tall. As expected with vintage jars, there are manufacturing flaws including closed bubbles in the glass. The glass has swirls and is whittled.The jar shows wear consistent with its age and purpose including expected ground lip roughness, base wear, and surface scratches. Please look at the photos carefully. They are an important part of the description. If you have any questions, please ask before you buy.
