I found this jewelry box at an estate sale. It is in very good condition. It’s hard to take a picture to reflect how beautiful this box is. With the mother of pearl it has an opalescent look to it. On the outside of the box, you will see iridescent, white, black blue green and purple colors. There is a beautiful gold butterfly closure. The bottom is pure lacquer black. On the inside there is a mirror that measures approximately 8 1/4“ by 4 inches. The mirror is in perfect condition. There are no scratches. On the inside, there is a red velvet jewelry area that will hold bracelets rings and more. This piece can be pulled out if you like. On the inside, you see the mother of pearl and colors of iridescent blue, greens, and tones of yellow and white. I think originally there was a black lacquered box that went around the red velvet insert. I noticed some white coloring on the inside rim of the box. See photos. This item is clean.
