Vintage Jamaican native red clay ceramic sculpture of seated man in apron at work making shoes. In intricate, realistic detail, the artist sculpted the shoemaker wearing his leather apron and surrounded by shoemaking material and tools. The shoemaker is frozen in action as he raises his hammer to add a tack to the bottom the shoe. The artist sculpted, fired, painted and glazed native red clay to create this beautiful figurine that captures a part of Jamaican culture!
