This vintage handmade wood carving features an English Policeman, signed by Fred Thrane and hand painted with intricate carvings. The figure stands at 24" inches tall, X 11" at widest part. The item is made of wood and has a blue color finish.This original piece from the Fred Thrane collection is a unique addition to any room, perfect for collectors of decorative and folk art. The item was crafted in the United States in the 1980s and is an authentic piece of art. Mr Thrane was a central new York artist (Solvay.N.Y.)passing away in 2009.Mr Thrane was a navy veteran who participated in the WW 2 Invasion of Normandy.Mr Thrane donated this piece to the CNY Terl-Auc Televison Charity sale..Certainly a one-of-kind.
