A 19th Century English Staffordshire Confetti Ceramic Poodle.It is an iconic mantle dogs in white and gold color. It is in very nice period condition, with no chips or cracks but some missing confetti on the tail (see photos). The dog is well modeled and decorated by hand, having the most characterful face.

Decorating with Staffordshire dogs is a timeless design trend that has been popular since the 18th century. The Staffordshire dogs which has been in production since the 1720s, became the quintessential Victorian status symbol in England and Scotland.

This would make a great gift for collectors of Staffordshire pottery or dog lovers.
