This is an awesome piece of art. But, it is also aimed only at the serious collector.

Twelve Translucent Rollerballs - each pen is unique. Each pen is numbered 231 - the case at the bottom states -

It has felt backing so it can set on a coffee table, shelf, or hang on the wall. If I shipped this to you the case has it\'s own box and each pen has their own box. The pen box has a 5x7 of the painting that inspired the pen.

NOTE - I have PD and cannot take a decent picture. There is no deviation between my set and what you see here - except mine is #231. If pictures are the only thing holding you back, I\'ll bring someone in to take pictures. See my ratings. And, as always free shiping.

Visconti presents a spectacular framed collection of 12 Van Gogh rollerball pens, each inspired by the colors and emotions from a dozen of Van Gogh\'s most recognizable paintings. In addition to the previously released Van Gogh finishes (NEW Vincent\'s Chair, Irises, Pair of Shoes, Pollard Willows, Portrait in Blue, Starry Night, Sunflowers and Room at Arles) the set also includes new patterns that are only available in this collection: Orchard in Blossom, Doctor Gachet, Gaugin\'s Armchair & Pine Trees. Each collector\'s set is displayed in a special lacquered wood case with a glass top and lock and key. A small reproduction of the corresponding painting is set next to each pen.

Each rollerball pen is one of a kind – the translucency and depth of the vegetal resin colors is enhanced by the unique 18-faceted barrel. The name of the painting and artist is engraved on the wide, palladium-plated band. The elegantly curved Visconti clip and magnetic snap closure distinguish the cap.

These sets were scooped up instantly and they are not appearing anywhere. These set were offered to the largest and most loyal customer of the largest Visconti dealers in the world. As only the biggest got a set, maybe two to sell, and they offered them and sold them to there largest customers. And, no one is selling these rare sets.

I searched the web on and off for a month - I do not find a single one for sale. I have a subscription to Worthpoint, which does a good job of finding and recording open marlet sales of high end collectibles. They show one set that sold on March 9, 2022 for $5500.
