It primarily feeds on the leaves of the Virginia creeper, grapevines, and sometimes viburnum during its larval stage. like many adult sphinx moths, this moth feeds on nectar. This nectar-feeding behavior helps with the pollination of various plant species, making these moths beneficial contributors to their ecosystems. A truly fascinating sight! They hover in flight just like hummingbirds!

Caterpillars were raised on Virginia Creeper and Riverbank grape They were very large healthy caterpillars!
