This is a lot that showcases a pair of vintage ceramic Mexican siesta men, made in Japan. These figurines depict one man sitting and sleeping by his donkey and the other one has a Mexican man sleeping next to a large basket, which can be used as a small planter, a toothpick holder, matches holder, or a variety of other things. Both items were made in Japan. The donkey is pulling a small cart, which can also be used as a small planter, etc.

The man with the donkey measures approximately 2.25 inches tall, 3.5 inches long, and is about 1 inch wide. The man with the basket measures approximately 2.5 inches tall, just under 3 inches long, and is about 1.5 inches wide.

Both are pre-owned and in very good condition with no chips, no cracks, no fractures, no stains (see pics). The colors are generally sharp and vibrant, but there are a couple spots where the color is fading a bit. The Japan stamp has faded out on the donkey figurine, but is still visible on the man with the basket. Matches shown in the photos are not included.
