Very nicely preserved brochure of Walnut Canyon in northern Arizona, reprinted in 1953 by the government printing office and containing six panels of monument information that include maps and black & white photos. Notice the stamped admission fee of $.25 on the front panel and the altered text within that states "There is no admission or guide fee." Apparently a fee structure was established soon after the publication of this brochure, so a slight alteration became necessary. Notice also the map reference to U.S. highway 66, otherwise known as Route 66 and the "Mother Road." This map was published well before interstate highways became established means of travel.
