A very early Sam Browne Military Issue belt in as found condition with plenty of wear and Patina. This has not been ckeaned and remains in authentic condition. Unfortunately, the metal clip hook part is missing, and no doubt that was back during the war.

The Sam Browne belt is a leather belt with a supporting strap that passes over the right shoulder, worn by military and police officers. It is named after Sir Samuel J. Browne (1824–1901), the British Indian Army general who invented it. The Sam Browne belt worn by C.E.F. officers during the First World War.
