This spectacular brass executive desk lamp has a rectangular domed metal shade and swing-arm adjustability. It is thought to be an original Walter Von Nessen lamp by way of the patent numbers stamped on the back of the brass arm joint and his signature swing-arm design. It takes two fluorescent tube bulbs, has on/off switch under the shade, and is quite heavy. It is in non-working condition, and may need a fuse or ballast repair. - Beautiful brass swing arm executive desk or table lamp; clamp-on style
- Non-working condition--may need a fuse or ballast repair (doesn't turn on and seems to be missing a fuse)
- Uses two fluorescent tube bulbs
- Rectangular domed metal shade in brass finish

- Patent numbers stamped into the back side of swing arm joint
- Patent numbers present and the swing arm design suggest that this is a genuine Walter Von Nessen lamp; no other maker's marks or labels
- This is an extremely heavy lamp for being a clamp-on style; cast iron clamp
- Circa 1940s-1960s
- Lamp shade measures 18" long x 9.75" wide x 2" high
- Swing arm is 13" high and swings out 16" to center of shade
- Lamp measures 17" high x 18" wide
- Whole lamp, closed in, measures18" wide x 13" deep x 18" high
- Clamp opening measures 2" high
- Weighs 9 lbs.
- Vintage brass clamp-on swing arm lamp in very good physical condition, with wear, tear, and aged patina. There are no dents or dings in the shade, but aged, mottled patina, with light scuffs and scratches. The white enamel underside of shade is brown-stained and dirty. The lamp does not work when plugged in and turned on--it may need a fuse (appears to be one fuse missing), or maybe ballast repair, or perhaps even new bulbs. On/Off switch and electrical cord both seem to be in good condition. The heavy-duty clamp has surface rust and aged patina, but good--may be missing a screw or two. Overall, an excellent machine age lamp for repair or restoration with minimal effort.
