Vintage Shiken Bone China Japan Turtles Anthro Set of 3 + Box Anthropomorphic Excellent!
We are offering a set of three bone china turtles (they almost look like ladybugs to me with the red and black polka dot shell) that were made by Shiken in Japan. They look to be anthropomorphic dressed up in hats and are really a cute turtle family! The father measures about 2" tall, 1" wide and 1" deep at base; mother measures about 1 7/8" tall, 1" wide and 7/8" deep; and the little guy measues about 1 1/2" tall, 7/8" wide and 3/4" deep at feet. The Dad has the red and gold foil sticker that says "Bone China Shiken Japan". These adorable turtles are all in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The box measures about 3" by 2 1/4" and is 1 5/8" tall. It is in very good condition with just very slight wear on some o the edges and has a wrinkle going across the top of the box but still holds just fine. The box says "Genuine Bone China" on top, "Original Bone China" on top, shows the Shiken bone china label on the back. One one side it is stamped in black ink with "M526 1 SET", and the bottom says "Box No. 1". I am sure this is the original box they came in.
