The tradition oftheSammeltasse (or Collector\'s Cup)goes back to the 19thcentury. The custom of collecting cups or giving them away on special occasionsdeveloped in middle-class circles. They were also given as a gift of friendshipand often with a personal dedication.

This is a beautiful dessertplate, cup and saucer collectors set from the 1950s. It was made by Graf von Henneberg Porzellan1777 in Germany. It is a beautiful orange and gold cup, saucer and dessertplate combination. They are in very goodcondition considering their age. There are a couple of stains and a little ofthe gilt has worn off at the bottom of the saucer. (Please check out pictures.)
