Item up for sale is a wonderful vintage table model tube radio with bakelite cabinet made by Philco with a model number of 50-526-121 that was made sometime around 1950. This piece was plugged in and the tubes lit up with the radio producing a hum with no stations picked up so while this radio does power up it will require adjustment or repair to function as intended. As with any piece of vintage electronics we HIGHLY encourage the new owner to have this piece examined prior to attempted use. As you can see in photos the well meaning original owner painted this piece red with the paint chipping and wear off throughout and showing the brown bakelite underneath. Original dial is in place with dial indicator moving and glass showing no cracks or breaks needing only a cleaning. Both knobs turn as they should with bakelite knobs showing some white residue of an unknown source that should wipe off easily. Body shows no cracks or breaks in the plastic. Rear panel is present and loose along the top with tearing on the upper corners of the panel and wear, tear and creasing to the surfaces and around edges and corners. Panel is pushed inwards along the top portion. Cord shows soiling and light surface wear and looks to be in usable condition. Grille cloth shows some soiling and patina with plastic grille showing paint wear and loss. Radio body surfaces show soiling and patina consistent with age. Radio body measures 7-1/4\" top to bottom by 11-7/8\" wide by 7-5/8\" front to back. Amazing vintage radio that comes fresh to the market. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
