This is a very cool space age 1949 Philco radio model 49-503 called \"the Flying Wedge\" made in Phila. Saw this at a recent radio show and had to convert it to Bluetooth. The original blue/green plastic case was in need of TLC. Numerous cracks/broken parts. Repaired the cracks/breaks before refinishing it in a very cool teal color. Removed the non working radio parts to make way for the new electronics. Refinished the plastic perforated speaker grille in off white in addition the original knobs. Cleaned & polished the original dial cover. The original dial was in good condition just needing cleaning. Love the contrast with the teal with the off white. On the inside I installed a new 50 watt digital Bluetooth amp connected to a Jensen 4\" multi range speaker. Really has a great sound for a small box. Now this space classic is looking beautiful again. Please look at the pics. This is one of a kind speaker that is cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. Buy it for yourself or give it as a great gift. The Philco radio now Bluetooth speaker measures a small but cool 11\" x 6.5\" x 6.5\" .Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere.
