Vintage Original Plymouth Pickup Truck Dash Emblem Plate 1937 PT50 1938 PT57 VR:

Plymouth light trucks were only produced for 5 years - 1937-1941. In 1937 the Plymouth PT50, a ‘commercial car’ with optional bed, cab chassis and fenders was produced. This was followed by the production of the Plymouth PT57 in 1938. Light truck sales for Plymouth during these first two years were relatively limited, making both the PT50 and PT57 ‘pickups’ rare vehicles, especially in today’s market. This Plymouth emblem was used on the dashboard of both 1937 PT50 and 1938 PT57 trucks. Given the limited vehicle production in those years, it is quite a rare find as well.

This dash emblem is made of aluminum backed with a iron mounting plate. Overall, it is in very good condition without any cracks, breaks or repairs. The mounting bolts are straight and nuts with washers are included. The emblem is ~6” long (see last photo).

The emblem does have some dents, scratches, scrapes and ‘rough edges’ on the ends. The iron plate is also rusty. Nevertheless, it still displays very well, especially for being over 85 years old. It would make a great addition to the dash of your restored PT50 or PT57 pickup truck.
