This item is a beautiful olive decorative oblong bowl handcrafted by the Shona Artisans in Zimbabwe.
The artists cut a log to form a rough bowl shape. The bowl is then ground to its desired thickness and sanded in preparation for the painting. The bowl is painted with natural pigments and sealed and polished with a light shoe polish. The bowl is hand-painted with assorted bold designs.The bowl is intended for decorative use only, not for food service.Eachbowl is made by hand so there may be slight and subtle variations in size, color, or pattern. This is what makes it unique and a true piece of African art.
